Angelina Jolie’s Daughters Zahara, Shiloh Are All Grown Up At Red Carpet

Angelina Jolie was accompanied by her two daughters, Zahara, 12, and Shiloh, 11, at the red carpet premiere for “The Breadwinner.”

Photos of the trio circulated online, and it’s evident how much the two kids have grown up in recent months. In the snap, the Oscar winner is wearing a long-sleeved white dress, while Zahara wore a black dress and Shiloh wore black pants and black button down long-sleeved top and black vest.

Shiloh happens to be Jolie and Brad Pitt’s first biological child. When she was just 4, she told her parents that she wanted to become a boy. While speaking with Vanity Fair in 2010, the actress revealed that she dressed Shiloh “like a little dude.”

“Shiloh, we feel has Montenegro style. It’s how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes regular suits. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had her cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers,” Jolie said.

After she turned 11, reports also swirled that Jolie consulted with a specialist so that Shiloh could successfully transition into a boy. The young girl reportedly started taking hormonal treatment to stop her body from developing into a young woman. However, Jolie has not yet talked about this publicly.

In 2008, Pitt revealed during his interview with Oprah Winfrey that his daughter wanted to be called John or Peter. Initially, they thought she liked the name Peter because of “Peter Pan.” But both Jolie and Pitt don’t have any problems with their daughter identifying herself as a boy.

Meanwhile, Jolie’s focus has been on all of her children, not just Shiloh. After filing for a divorce from Pitt, the actress decided to halt her career so she could spend more time with her kids.

“I’ve had my ups and downs. I guess I’m a little bit stronger. We all have our difficult times, but as a mother you also have a responsibility first and foremost towards the kids. They are going through their formative years and everything else comes second to that,” she told People.
