Annapolis police searching for bank robbery suspect

Annapolis police are searching for a man they say robbed a bank in the city Saturday afternoon.

The department said officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Wells Fargo bank in the 900 block of Bay Ridge Road around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police said a man entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. He said he had a gun on him, police said, but never displayed it.

After the teller complied with his demands, police said he ran from the bank and has yet to be found.

He is described as a black man with a short white and gray beard and was seen wearing a navy blue New York Yankees hat with a sticker still on the brim during the time of the robbery. He was also wearing glasses, a royal blue polo shirt and blue pants, police said.
