The Bank of England declined to comment on the expensive partying allegations
THE Bank of England blew nearly £20,000 of public cash on four bosses’ leaving dos within weeks.
The most lavish was for deputy regulation chief Andrew Bailey and cost £5,430.90.
That included a £2,400 gift, said to be “an artistic depiction of his time at the Bank”, and £467.70 on booze for 250 guests.
Another £5,291.52 went on sending off fellow deputy regulation boss Paul Fisher, leaving after 26 years.
Some £711.12 went on drinks for 200 well-wishers.
South West England chief Stephen Collins got a £4,467.13 farewell at which his 160 guests got through £872.17 of booze.
