El Dorado Hills bank robber wore hard hat, respirator

El Dorado County sheriff’s officials are looking for man who wore a hard hat, sunglasses, reflective green vest and a respirator while robbing an El Dorado Hills bank Tuesday afternoon.

About 4:30 p.m., a man parked a newer white Ford F150 truck in front of the Golden One Credit Union in the El Dorado Hills Town Center. He got out of the truck wearing the disguise and entered the credit union armed with a gun, but then quickly left the building, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

A few minutes later, the F150 parked in front of the Bank of America in the La Borgata shopping center in El Dorado Hills. The same man wearing the same disguise entered the bank, brandished a gun and demanded money from the teller, the news release said.

The man then left the bank and fled in the truck.

The Sheriff’s Office asks anyone who saw the man or the vehicle before or after the robbery to call Detective Simon Brown at 530-642-4717.
