El Dorado News Times Simmons Bank employee graduates from School of Banking in Memphis

EL DORADO — Jennifer Coleman with Simmons Bank in El Dorado recently graduated from the Paul W. Barret Jr. Graduate School of Banking at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee.

She completed her three-year program which is designed to deliver students a high level of understanding of all major functions performed in financial institutions today which includes the analytical, operational, planning and regulatory areas.

Coleman began her banking career for National Bank of Commerce (became Simmons Bank in 1999) in 1990, as a receptionist. She worked in the drive-through as a teller and then as a loan teller. She moved into the Consumer Loan Department as a loan assistant, later becoming a consumer loan officer. Her current title is consumer banker II.

“Jennifer has always been very dedicated to giving her customers the very best service and this accomplishment shows her continued commitment to everyone she helps,” said Rob Robinson, bank president.

She is married to Rudy Coleman and has three children. She is active in the Kiwanis Club, having served as past president and currently serving as a board member. She and her family are members of First St. James Baptist Church.
