FBI, police searching for men who robbed Dollar Bank in Richmond Heights

RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Cleveland Division of the FBI and Richmond Heights police are searching for two men who robbed a Dollar Bank Saturday morning.

The robbery happened about 11:30 a.m. at the location on Wilson Mills Road near Edgewood Road, FBI Special Agent Lisa Hack said.

The two armed and masked men walked into the bank and demanded money from the tellers, the FBI said. A third suspect stayed in the getaway car parked in the back of the bank.

One of the robbers vaulted the counter. The second man held witnesses at gunpoint, the FBI said.

The two men ran out of the bank after getting an undisclosed amount of money and jumped into a four-door burgundy colored Hyundai with a license plate number of HHM 1555.

The car was stolen at gunpoint Feb. 4, authorities say.

Anyone with information about the robbery and the identity of the men is asked to contact the Cleveland FBI at 216-522-1400 or Richmond Heights police at 216-486-1234.
