This last weekend has proved fans can’t get enough of Wonder Woman. The heroine saw her first live-action standalone enter theaters last Friday, and the film has since taken over the globe. The feature raked in nearly $230 million worldwide, and Wonder Woman is expected to smash more records at the box office. Earlier today, director Patty Jenkins took a moment to thank fans for all their support. And, now, it looks like Gal Gadot is doing the same thing.
Over on Facebook, the actress just posted a video of herself addressing all of Wonder Woman’s fans. Dressed in a t-shirt and sunglasses, the actress looks understandably happy given her film’s success. She then goes on to thank all of the film’s fans for their support, and Gadot makes the touching statement that Wonder Woman is what it is because of its followers.
You can read the transcript of Gadot’s message below:
“Hey you guys. It’s me, It’s Gal. I just want to take a moment and thank you; Thank you for making the most amazing weekend and craziest weekend I’ve ever had in my life. I mean, you made this movie what it is. Your love and support for this character and for myself are not to be taken for granted. I mean, Wonder Woman [is] the number one movie in the whole world. This is all you. So, a big thank you. I am sending you guys all the love and good energy back.”
Taking to Twitter, Jenkins had a similar message for fans. “I want to send out the deepest and sincere THANK YOU to all of you who made this so. YOU have helped us make change. Amazing!!” she wrote.
