With the solar eclipse coming Aug. 21, Oregon State University, as a NASA Space Grant university is displaying “150 Space Grant Art Exhibit” in Giustina Gallery of the LaSells Stewart Center, 875 SW 26th St., Corvallis. The exhibit will be on view through Aug. 30.
The exhibit, which is part of OSU’s three-day eclipse celebration Aug. 19-21, displays artwork relating to: a solar eclipse, rockets, comets, stars, planets, nebulae, meteors, the Milky Way, space exploration and anything else that pertains to the solar system.
There will be an artists’ reception Friday, Aug. 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the gallery. It is free.
Giustina Gallery is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open at times during evenings and weekends based upon events. To be sure that the gallery is open during the weekend, it is recommended people call ahead. For more information, call 541-737-2402.
