Grand Rapids police investigating bank robbery

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are investigating a bank robbery on the city’s northeast side Saturday morning .

The robbery happened at 11 a.m. Saturday at a Macatawa Bank, located at 3177 Knapp Street NE.

Police said the suspect entered the bank, approached an employee an demanded money and fled in a Kia Soul with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described by police as a 6-foot tall white male with a thin build, and was wearing a gray Carhartt jacket at the time of the robbery.

There were no injuries in the incident, and no weapons were involved.
