GRPD investigating bank robbery on city’s northeast side

Police are looking for the suspect in the bank robbery.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. – Investigators are looking for the suspect in a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday, Jan. 13 around 11:00 a.m.

The Macatawa Bank, located at 3177 Knapp St. NE, was robbed, and an undisclosed amount of money was taken. 

The suspect is described by police as a white man who is about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a gray Carhartt hooded jacket. 

The man entered the bank and demanded money from an employee. He arrived and fled the scene in what appeared to be a Kia Soul. 

No one was hurt in the robbery.
