Police are looking for an armed man who robbed Rabobank on Friday afternoon.
An alarm company alerted police at 2:09 p.m. that a robbery alarm went off at the bank at 1171 S. Victoria Ave., authorities said. Shortly after that, an employee of the bank called police to confirm that a robbery had taken place, authorities said.
Officers discovered that a man in his 30s wearing a white hardhat, fluorescent yellow vest and black pants entered the store, went to an open teller window and pulled a black semi-automatic weapon from a large envelope he was carrying, police said. He demanded money and the teller gave him an undisclosed amount before he fled from the area westbound on a small BMX-style bicycle, authorities said.
A search of the area was conducted, but the man was not found, authorities said. The FBI was also notified of the incident, and no injuries were reported, police said.
Anyone with information can call 339-4488 or 339-4416.
