Earlier in the evening James Ellsworth retrieved the Money In The Bank title for Carmella as she bags shot at the title
NAOMI defended her Smackdown women’s title against Lana at Money in the Bank – and briefcase winner Carmella resisted cashing in for her title shot.
Debutant Lana put up a strong showing against Naomi, hitting her with Two suplexes – but eventually Naomi kept her title by making Lana submit after both fighters had looked to the outside of the ring to see briefcase holder Carmella strut around.
Naomi capitalised and Lana was beaten.
Carmella not once, but twice teased cashing in the briefcase during the match…but eventually skipped away with partner in crime James Ellsworth.
It was Ellsworth who helped Carmella win the first ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match in controversial fashion in the event’s opening contest – flooring Becky Lynch and then climbing the ladder to secure briefcase himself.

Ellsworth then passed the briefcase to Carmella, the bell sounded and after some deliberation it was announced that the Princess Of Staten Island had won.
