Police hunting armed bank robber in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WSAZ) — Parkersburg Police are asking for your help in identifying a person they say robbed a bank Saturday morning.

The agency says the armed robbery happened at 3850 Emerson Avenue at the Doolin Security Savings Bank.

Police say a man wearing blue jeans, black work boots, a black zip up hooded sweatshirt and a black backpack entered the bank just before 10:00 a.m. brandishing a revolver to bank employees. He demanded money, and then fled. Investigators aren’t sure how much he made off with.

Detectives are checking to see if nearby security cameras may have picked up anything on video.
