Saline’s Class of 2017 celebrates commencement

SALINE, MI – Students in Saline High School’s Class of 2017 took that long-awaited walk to accept their diplomas at the commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 4. 

The Class of 2017 included 446 graduating seniors. Tammi Carr, co-founder of The ChadTough Foundation and a Saline resident, offered the graduates parting words of advice as the commencement speaker. 

Class president Robbie Felton also spoke at the ceremony. The other class officers included vice president Jessa Davis, secretary Robert Amori and treasurer Manasa Dittakavi.

The seniors chose “All Star” by Smash Mouth and “Time of Your Life” by Green Day as their class songs. Their class motto was, “Our lives are before us. Our pasts are behind us, but our memories are forever within us.”
