Sarah Jessica Parker confirms Sex and the City 3 won’t be happening

Any Sex and the City fans still holding out for a third movie, we have bad news – it most definitely is NOT happening.

Star Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that the movie is not going ahead following reports that the project had been shelved just days before it was due to begin production.

“It’s over… we’re not doing it,” the actress told Extra, adding that she was “disappointed” over the news.

It was reported in December that a deal for the next outing for Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha was “done” and had “been approved by all the women”.

SJP seemed much more confident at the beginning of this year about a third film, revealing: “It’s in a warming drawer. It’s never been a ‘no’…it’s always been an ‘if’ and ‘when’.
