4:30 p.m update: A witness followed a robber who stole from a South Austin bank, and led to police finding her and apprehending her, Austin police said.
The robbery happened around 9:20 a.m. on Stassney Lane, just west of Interstate 35, police said. A woman entered the bank, displayed a handgun and demanded money, which she got, then ran away, police said.
A witness followed her and called 911, police said. Officers apprehended the suspect, and both the weapon and the money were recovered, police said.
No injuries were reported, police said.
The Austin Police Department is filing charges in the robbery, and the investigation is still active and ongoing at this time.

Earlier: Austin police are investigating a bank robbery in South Austin on Friday morning, the second such incident since Wednesday.

Police said the latest robbery happened at a bank in the 700 block of East Stassney Lane.
Officers were called out to another robbery at a Wells Fargo bank in the 500 block of East Ben White Boulevard around 12:13 p.m. on Wednesday.
That bank is roughly 3 miles from the bank that was hit Friday.
