Yes Bank: Market Now: YES Bank, PNB, SBI most active stocks in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 2.22 crore), Punjab National Bank (0.62 crore), State Bank India (0.52 crore) and ICICI Bank (0.37 crore) were trading as the most active stocks in terms of volume on NSE in Friday’s morning trade.

SAIL (0.30 crore), Bank of Baroda (0.22 crore), Indian Oil Corporation (0.17 crore), BHEL (0.16 crore), NMDC (0.15 crore), REC (0.14 crore), United Spirits (0.14 crore) and ITC (0.13 crore) were the other major stocks in that league in that order.

Equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex registered a strong opening, with both the key indices hitting a fresh record high of 10,366.15 and 33270.62, respectively.

However, bourses pared gains as a fresh spell of selling emerged in bank, telecom and IT stocks.

The NIfty50 index was trading 3 points down at 10,340, while BSE Sensex was 48 points down at 33,195 around 9.40 am (IST).

In the Nifty50 index, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Cipla, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Maruti Suzuki India, NTPC, Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and UPL were trading among the top gainers.

However, YES Bank, Bharti Infratel, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Wipro, Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Unilever and State Bank of India were trading among the losers.

On the NSE, 1003 stocks were advancing, compared with 546 stocks declining and 416 stocks remaining unchanged.
